Being of Service to Others

June 10, 2021

Friends in Faith,

The photo below is of our group of walkers who recently participated in the CROP Hunger Walk. We had a nice time walking at River Bend Park last Saturday. We are still raising funds for this endeavor to raise aware and money for local, national, and international food programs. Click here for more info; it's not too late to give!

We hope you'll join us for worship this Sunday, June 13th. Our text will be Ezekiel 37:1-14 and John 11:38-44—”dry bones,” Lazarus and resurrection! Gathering music begins at 10:20 a.m. in Bethany's Social Hall. Kids are aways welcome.

There are several options on how to share in worship with us:

  • In-person, in our Social Hall.

  • In-person, from your car. We broadcast our service via very low=frequency radio channel 94.9 (available within the vicinity of the church parking lot).

  • From your home, on Facebook Live (hint, if you miss the actual service, you can watch it on replay).

  • You can also view the service on the website here; it’s usually available starting Sunday night.

Please note that Highway 99 will be closed Friday, June 11 through Wednesday, June 16. So please use side streets when making trips to the church over these coming days.

We have been talking about the Presbyterian Church USA’s "Matthew 25 Invitation" for the past few Sundays at Bethany. Essentially, the invitation asks our churches to become more focused on mission, especially the work of helping the poor, anti-racist endeavors, and on behalf of justice work. Here is a link to learn more about this campaign. Let's see if this is something we can do as well!

HERE”S WHAT’'S COMING UP:
