It’s that time again … when water lilies bloom at the pond in William Land Park.
Bethany is holding a special “creativity and contemplation” session in honor of the occasion. Join us Thursday, June 24, at 10 a.m. behind Fairy Tale Town. We will meet at the top of the amphitheater. Click here for directions to the amphitheater. The amphitheater is on 15th Avenue, east of Land Park Drive.
Here are suggested items to bring:
journal or notepad/sketchpad
pen, pencils (plain or color)
camera or cell phone for photo-taking
hat/sunscreen
water bottle
your mask for safety purposes
The water lily is technically known as nelumbo nucifera or Indian lotus—also called sacred lotus. It is revered in Asia and features prominently in many types of art. Come and spend a morning discovering for yourself the beauty of this extraordinary plant.
The event is coordinated by Parish Associate Rev. Judy Davis, Rev. Janice Kamikawa and Cathy Sapunor. Questions? Contact Cathy.
