About two dozen Bethany members and friends attended the church’s 2026 retreat, held August 8-9 at Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center on Lake Tahoe’s eastern shore. The retreat theme was “True North: Finding Your Moral Compass Through Faith.”
The next Monday Group gathering is September 14 when we focus on “Compassionate Communication”—a skill we all need! Come at 10 a.m. to the church library.
Stop by any Wednesday for “Coffee & Conversation” … happening 8:30-10::30 a.m. in the Social Hall.
Bethany is now offering a weekly exercise class Thursdays at 9 a.m. in the Social Hall. The class is open to all; no RSVP is required … just show up in comfy clothes at 8:45 a.m. ready for gentle stretching and balance-boosting exercise. A donation of $3-$5 per class is suggested.
Bethany’s Movie Group invites everyone to join in seeing the new action film “Heart of the Beast” on Tuesday, September 29 at the Cinemark Century Laguna Theater, 9349 Big Horn Blvd., Elk Grove. Meet in the lobby at 11:05 a.m.. The movie starts at 11:35 a.m. Tickets are $7.25.
Bethany will again observe Reformation Sunday by celebrating with special Scottish refreshments on Sunday, October 25. The worship service starts 10:30 a.m., with goodies at 11:30 a.m. Wear tartan or plaid!
