Spiritual Formation

Bethany’s spiritual formation classes and activities are open to all, regardless of background or church affiliation.

Small Groups

Each fall and spring Bethany offers a series of small group learning experiences to help participants of varying interests and time commitments travel farther along their faith journey. Groups are facilitated by trained leaders and offered at various times during the week.

Every Sunday morning in the Social Hall, in the hour prior to the worship service, all are welcome to drop in for a cup of coffee and a preview of the week’s sermon topic and bible verse.

A weekend church retreat takes place in late summer at Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center on the east shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe. The retreat offers the chance to meet new people (as well as to deepen existing friendships) and renew one’s relationship with God — amidst the scenic setting of lake, sky and mountains. A different theme is chosen each year, which makes each retreat unique and very much-anticipated.

Become a Teacher

Bethany’s Spiritual Formation Commission recruits and trains Sunday School teachers, who lead the church’s children in Bible story exploration, songs and activities each week during the school year. The commission takes the lead in organizing the annual vacation bible school program for neighborhood kids.

Every Monday, stop at 3 p.m. and pray.

The purpose of all prayer is to find God's will and to make that our prayer
