Rev. Jesse Larson led today’s service, which marked the second Sunday in Advent. The Advent wreath—featuring the candle of peace—was lit. The scripture reading was Mark 1:1-8—the story of John the Baptist preparing the way for Jesus.
The Bethany Choir performed the anthem and pianist Natalya Guerrero presented several musical arrangements. Joined by guitarist Manh Ong, she accompanied the singing of hymns:
