COVID-19

Worshiping Together Safely – UPDATED MARCH 31, 2022

Bethany Presbyterian Church continues to operate in compliance with Sacramento County Health COVID-19 mandates.

Here are the guidelines we ask that “in person” worship service participants follow during this uncertain time of COVID-19 pandemic:

  • The wearing of masks indoors is optional if you have undergone both the initial two COVID-19 vaccinations and a booster. Please wear a mask if you feel more comfortable doing so.

  • Instead of passing around the attendance pads, we will have our greeter(s) welcome you and note your presence.

  • Similarly, the offering plate will not be passed. Baskets will be available for your offering.

  • Communion will continue to be served in individually wrapped packages.

  • The social time after church has resumed. Please observe hand-washing and food safety protocols.

  • We suggest you continue to keep appropriate distance between you and non-family members. There is ample room in the sanctuary to enable everyone to “spread out.”

  • Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or running a fever.

  • If you become ill following a worship service, please contact the church office ASAP.

Services will continue to be available for viewing at home live on Facebook or later in the week on the website.

WORSHIPING IN SAFETY

Despite the lifting of many COVID-19 related restrictions across the country, Bethany is for the time being delaying the return of Sunday worship services to the sanctuary.

Worship services continue to be held either in the very well-ventilated Social Hall or outdoors on the church lawn, depending on the weather.

Services are held Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Arrive by 10:15 a.m. to enjoy the beautiful pre-service music!

Here are Bethany’s “safe and socially distanced” guidelines we ask that “in person” worship service participants follow:

  • Whether or not you have received both COVID-19 inoculations, please your mask indoors.

  • Please keep distance between you and non-family members and refrain from hugs and other contact.

  • Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or running a fever.

  • Everyone participating in person will be asked to check in upon arrival so we can keep track for safety’s sake.

  • If you become ill following a worship service, please contact the church office ASAP.

Services will be available for viewing at home live on Facebook or later Sunday night on the website.

You can also hear the worship service live from your car in the church parking lot. The service is broadcast low=frequency (94.9 on your car radio dial) within the immediate vicinity of the church.
