July Activity Report

Dear Folks, 

On behalf of the members of the Bethany Administrative Commission [AC], I would like to extend to the members of Bethany Presbyterian Church our gratitude for the gracious hospitality extended to us on Sunday, June 8, during our combined "meet and greet" and listening session. [Notes were attached in e-mail to congregation.]

Progress to date, in addition to the June 8 listening session, includes:

  1. A budget was completed and approved by the AC.

  2. The NCCP [North Central California Presbytery] trustees conducted a financial review, which was made available to the AC.

  3. The Stated Clerk completed a review of the minutes.

  4. A group comprised of two AC members and three Bethany members is beginning the process of revising the bylaws. Two more people from Bethany were invited to the initial meeting, but were unable to attend.  

  5. We are following up on the questions about title to the property.

  6. We are beginning the search for someone to conduct a forensic audit.
