Today’s worship service, led by Rev. Elias Burgos, observed All Saints Day. Rev. Elias presented a message entitled “How to Become a Saint” and accompanied the congregation in a special All Saints Day prayer. Kathy Frank served as liturgist.
Scripture readings included Isaiah 25:6-9, Psalm 103 and Luke 6:20-31.
The Bethany Choir, directed by Barbara Greene, sang “I Must Tell Jesus” as an anthem and rounded out the morning worship service with a rousing rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Manh Ong presented a beautiful musical piece during the time of silent prayer and reflection.
Communion was served and participants lit candles in memory of deceased loved ones. invited to light a candle in memory of deceased loved ones.
Following the service, families displayed photos and memorabilia of departed loved ones on the special “life celebration tables” in the Social Hall.
