TUESDAY—SEPT. 1—The Movie Group invites everyone to see “Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone” in its 25th anniversary release. Many of us missed it the first time around and have only seen it on our TV screens, so here’s a chance to view it as originally intended! The movie starts at 10:45 a.m. at the Cinemark Century Laguna Theater, 9349 Big Horn Blvd., Elk Grove. Meet in the lobby at 10:15 a.m. Tickets are $7.25. Friends welcome! Questions? See Nga Chau. Cathy Sapunor will have a handout on the Christian themes presented in the movie. MORE DETAILS ARE HERE.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 2—We will continue to enjoy “Coffee & Conversation” in the church Social Hall, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Enjoy free coffee and donuts This is the perfect excuse to get out of the house for a bit and hang with others. It’s informal; drop in any time. Come by yourself or bring a friend. Thank you, Mark Strack, for hosting this weekly event!

THURSDAY—SEPT. 3—Our new weekly exercise class starts 9 a.m. in the Social Hall. Please show up by 8:45 in comfortable clothes, ready to begin. Our leader will be Vickie Mae Denman, a teacher of yoga and tai chi who also is qualified to teach fall prevention. A donation of $3-$5 per class is suggested. Please see Jackie Sneed if you have questions. No need to RSVP; just show up. Bring a friend! Here are more details.

Bethany’s Movie Group enjoyed seeing “The Magic Faraway Tree” last Tuesday!

As September 6 is the first Sunday of the month, please bring non-perishable items for our Food Closet collection. Communi0n will be served today.

Could you arrive at church some Sundays at 10 a.m.? We are really in need of a few helping hands to do some simple tasks such as putting out the offering plates and opening the sanctuary doors. See Cathy Sapunor or just pick a Sunday on the sign-up sheet near the front of the sanctuary!
