On Thursday, April 23, join Bethany members and friends at the Multi-Faith Prayer Vigil happening outside the John Moss Federal Building, 650 Capitol Mall in downtown Sacramento at 12 noon. Saturday, April 25, 1-2:30 p.m.—REACHING OUT MINISTRY held at Bethany to benefit those in need in our community. Contact Susan Just if you would like to help … you are also invited to stop by to see what this mission activity is all about. About 100 people are expected to attend. The purpose is to build community and provide free items such as clothing, toiletries, basic essential needs items, books and pet foods. Lunch is provided. Everything is free. This is not a focused homeless outreach; however, several unhomed folks do attend. Reaching Out is held in partnership with Faith Presbyterian Church and the South Sacramento Interfaith Partnership.
Monday, April 27, our new 9-part discussion series “Who Was Jesus?” starts. Learn about one of the most widely known people in all of recorded history. Each of the sessions lasts. 90 minutes and is a “stand-alone” (meaning if you miss one or more classes, you can still keep up and find the gathering both informative and inspiring). Come at 9:15 for refreshments and social time; the class is 9:30-11 a.m. Cathy Sapunor will lead.

Registration/interest forms are now available for Bethany’s annual Friends & Family Retreat Aug. 7-9 at Lake Tahoe. The theme is “True North: Finding Your Moral Compass Through Faith.” Participants will explore ways in which their faith can be defined and enhanced.
