What's Happening

We are pleased to again welcome Rev. Eiias Burgos and his family—Marisol & Simon—to Bethany yesterday. Rev. Elias will return to the pulpit next Sunday, April 19.

Many thanks to those in the congregation who assisted with Friday’s memorial service honoring Ralph & Fran Congdon. Our prayers continue to be with the Congdon family.

TODAY—MONDAY, APRIL 13—Last in our series of “aging with grace” classes, 10 a.m. in the library. Topic: Looking Back & Ahead. A new 9-part series (“Who Is Jesus?”) will start April 27. All are encouraged to attend this series, which promises surprising answers! Cathy Sapunor will lead.

TUESDAY, APRIL 14—Bethany’s Movie Group invites everyone to join in seeing the new romantic comedy “You, Me & Tuscany.” The film starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Cinemark Century Laguna Theater, 9349 Big Horn Blvd., Elk Grove. Meet in the lobby at 10 a.m. Tickets are $7.25. The movie is about a young woman named Anna who loses her house-sitting job (and housing) in one fell swoop but a chance encounter with Matteo—a handsome Italian who happens to have a villa sitting empty in Tuscany—inspires her to jet off for Italy. Anyone & everyone can participate in the Movie Group! Just show up!
