On October 26, Bethany again observed Reformation Sunday. We not only celebrated the start of the Protestant Church, but also the Presbyterian Church, which originated in Scotland. Thank you, Kathy Frank and Cathy Sapunor, for bringing home-baked Scottish shortbread and scones … and to Marilyn Huddy for crafting the tartan rosettes attendees were given to wear. A rousing bagpipe recording of “Amazing Grace” rounded out the service, which was led by Jim Guida. He presented an inspiring message about the Reformation … and how we need to continue to seek to represent God when we see injustice in the world.
