October Activity Report

From AC Secretary Maurine Huang:

October 2025 Report from Administrative Commission

At the October 2, 2025 meeting of the Bethany AC, the following matters were discussed, decided, and/or voted on:

  1. We approved the corrected bid from Tree Tech Services for $2,260 to trim the trees, working through Ron Carlsen, and authorized SSIP to seek reimbursement from Bethany for 50% of the cost after it has made full payment to Tree Tech Services.

  2. We approved the SSIP fence project for the north driveway using a chain link fence, noting that SSIP will pay with grant funding.

  3. We have engaged in conversations with three members of Bethany; the Rev. Philip Trinh of Grace Presbyterian Church; and Simon Yeh, Executive Director of SSIP. We are planning to conduct more conversations.

  4. Two AC members attended Bethany’s 111th anniversary celebration in person. A third member attended the reception, and a fourth member participated via Zoom.

  5. We were informed that a Seventh Day Adventist church is interested in renting space at Bethany, and will follow up.

  6. We will seek clarification as to what records are considered to be confidential and who is to have access to the records.

  7. We are continuing to try to understand Bethany’s finances.

  8. We will seek clarification as to the recent undesignated $10,000 donation to Bethany.

  9. We acknowledged receipt of Bethany’s most recent financial report, and will continue to request them on a monthly basis.

Our next meeting will be Nov. 5.

    Respectfully submitted
    Maurine Huang, AC Secretary
