Rev. Jack McNary led today’s service, which observed Epiphany (the visit by the three magi to the baby Jesus). His message was entitled “How Far Will You Go?” The scripture reading was Matthew 2:1-12. Trisha Uhrhammer served as liturgist. Hymns, accompanied Manh Ong (guitar) and Barbara Greene (piano), included:

Bethany’s own “three kings”—Manh Ong, Saul Rivera and Tom Uhrhammer—entered the sanctuary bearing the traditional gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for the infant Jesus. After the service, they presented a small gift to each attendee. Following the service, a Rosca de Reyes (three kings cake) was served in the Social Hall.
