Rev. Jesse Larson led today’s service, which observed World Communion Sunday—a time to celebrate solidarity with Christians around the world. Elder Jim Guida read today’s scripture passage Ephesians 2:11-22 and talked about his trip to Tanzania and told of mission efforts there, including Bethany’s sponsorship of a student.
The Bethany choir, directed by Barbara Greene, will performed the anthem What a Friend We have In Jesus. Singers were accompanied by Natalya Amelchenko Guerrero on piano and Manh Ong on guitar.
The communion table was graced by the display of internal items brought by members and friends in honor of World Communion Sunday. Many thanks to all who participated. Photos can be viewed here.
