The new film “Wicked” is the next movie being viewed by Bethany friends and family. We’ll gather Tuesday, December 10, in Elk Grove to see this film based on the acclaimed Broadway musical. The move is a prequel to the 1939 classic “Wizard of Oz,” re-imagining the story of how the “Wicked Witch of the West” came to earn her reputation.
Meet at 8:45 a.m. in the lobby of the Cinemark Century Laguna Theater, 9349 Big Horn Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758. Click here for the location. The film starts 9 a.m. The first 14 people who show up are guaranteed seating adjacent to each other.
Tickets are $7 each. You can pay inside. We’ll gather afterward for (optional) no-host snacks nearby. No need to RSVP, just show up! All are welcome … bring a friend.
From the producers: “Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Emmy, Grammy- and Tony- winning and Oscar®-nominated powerhouse Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman misunderstood because of her green skin who has yet to discover her true power, and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman gilded by privilege who has yet to discover her true heart.”
