The new film “Bonhoeffer: Pastor. Spy. Assassin” is the next movie being viewed by Bethany friends and family. We’ll gather Tuesday, December 3, in Elk Grove to see this historical drama thriller set in 1940s Berlin. The movie dramatizes the life of German theologian and pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who stood up to the Nazis.
Promotion for the movie says, “As the world teeters on the brink of annihilation, Dietrich Bonhoeffer is swept into the epicenter of a deadly plot to assassinate Hitler. With his faith and fate at stake, Bonhoeffer must choose between upholding his moral convictions or risking it all to save millions of Jews from genocide. Will his shift from preaching peace to plotting murder alter the course of history or cost him everything?”
Meet at 12:15 p.m. in the lobby of the Cinemark Century Laguna Theater, 9349 Big Horn Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758. Click here for the location. The film starts 1:30 p.m.
