Simon Farnaby (Wonka, Paddington 2) has adapted Enid Blyton's best-selling children's classic The Magic Faraway Tree which has been directed by Ben Gregor (Britannia, Cuckoo, Black Ops). The story follows a family forced to relocate to the remote English countryside. There, the children set on a series of adventures into fantastical worlds at the top of a magical tree in an enchanted forest. Filled with eccentric, beloved characters like Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot and Saucepan Man, the story has delighted children and adults alike for decades. Among those starring in the movie are Claire Foy, Nonso Anozie and Jennifer Saunders.

Anyone and everyone can participate in movie outings, which take place 3-4 times a month.

‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ is undoubtedly a movie for young people, but thankfully it succeeds as a film for adults too, gently reminding us that imagination is for everyone. The film strikes the right balance of earnestness and humor without feeling forced.
