The film is an adaptation of one of the oldest and most influential stories in Western literature: Homer’s The Odyssey. The film follows the legendary Greek hero Odysseus, the clever king of Ithaca, during his arduous ten-year journey back home after the fall of Troy. Having spent a decade fighting the Trojan War, he faces another decade of trials and tribulations at sea and on strange lands, battling mythical monsters, resisting temptations, and navigating the wrath and favor of the gods.
