World Communion Sunday is October 6

World Communion Sunday is celebrated the first Sunday of October. This festive and insightful day—which has its origins in the Presbyterian Church—is now observed by churches of many denominations throughout the world.

Rev. Janice Kamikawa will lead today’s worship service. Cathy Sapunor will serve as liturgist.

Whether or not you attend church in person, we can all still gather around the “virtual table” that Christ invites us to share. If you are at home, tune in to the the October 6 Facebook livecast service around 10:20 a.m. and have ready a bit of bread and a beverage so you can join in this celebration of new life, hope and promise.

The Presbyterian Church USA Peace & Global Witness Offering will be taken this day. Our Peace & Global Witness Offering enables the church to promote the peace of Christ by addressing systems of injustice in our own communities and across the world.

Do you have international-themed items? Please bring them to display on the worship table on World Communion Sunday!
