Bethany member Howard McMackin was honored August 31, 2025 at the church for having completed 12,000 hours of volunteer service to the California State Railroad Museum. An announcement was made during the worship service and a special cake enjoyed by all during the coffee hour. Howard, who will turn 95 next month, has been a docent at the Railroad Museum since 1998. We are grateful for his support at Bethany as well; for more than a decade he has served as a lead “host” for the weekly Sunday morning social time. He also treated Bethany members and friends to a “behind-the-scenes” tour of the Railroad Museum a few years ago. (See pictures here.)Thank you, Howard, for all you do!
