Last Tuesday—January 28—Bethany family and friends enjoyed viewing the Japanese animated film "The Colors Within." This anime feature told of young friendship, loyalty, truth and the joy of creativity ... all within a Christian context. The Movie Group heartily recommends this film to everyone!
The next movie outing is expected to be during the week of February 10, with "Paddington in Peru" as the film we'll be seeing. Watch for details!
Half a dozen Bethany members traipsed the Cosumnes River Preserve on Thursday, Jan. 30, at the church’s annual “Winter Wander” nature walk. Refreshments served in true “tailgate party” style rounded out the morning. The group experienced the flight and landing of thousands of snow geese—quite the sight. Bethany’s Bob Jensen, who serves as a docent at the preserve, gave helpful bird-watching tips. Thank you, Bob! CLICK HERE TO SEE PHOTOS.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is working to provide necessary resources to those affected by the wildfires in Southern California. To support that disaster relief work, you can make an online gift to PDA. We join in praying for all who are affected, for swift containment of the fires, and for the safety of first responders.

Bethany members, please attend the February 16 congregational meeting. It will take place following the worship service. The purpose of the meeting is to vote on the lease agreement approved by the Bethany Session/Administrative Commission for the SSIP Food Closet’s use of Bethany facilities.
This is traditionally the time of year we are encouraged to think about our giving to the church. Debbie Leibrock recently announced the start of our annual stewardship campaign. If you did not receive your invitation to pledge to the 2025 work of Bethany, please call the church office.

PLEASE PRAY FOR members and friends of our extended Bethany family, as well as those of our community, who are experiencing health and financial challenges, loss, loneliness, anxiety and depression. We pray for guidance as we continue to focus on plans for Bethany's future. Please pray for the leaders of all nations, that they may choose peaceful resolutions to conflict. We ask special prayers for the ceasefire in Gaza.
