At the June 18 worship service, Bethany honored dads (it being Father’s Day), the faith journeys of our young people, and the dedication of those who make Bethany a vital part of our community. Fathers were celebrated through prayer and the serving of root beer floats following the service. The tradition of giving a bible to each third-grader was reinstated … with the scope expanded to include preschoolers. And the contributions of dozens of volunteers were recognized, as well as those of office manager Maria Mar and pianist Natalya Guerrero—who were presented with flowers. Many thanks to everyone who helps make possible the operation, ministry and mission of Bethany!
