Today is Reformation Sunday, when we celebrate the “reformed” tradition that is the Protestant faith. At today’s service—led by Rev. Jesse Larson—the Scottish heritage of the Presbyterian Church was honored with bagpipe music by Neil Henderson and the serving of scones and shortbread following the worship service. Liturgist Mary Harbison read Romans 12:1-21. Pianist Natalya Amelchenko presented several musical pieces, including a stirring version of Marth Luther’s A Mighty Fortress Is Our God as well as as accompanying the singing of the hymns:
Be Thou My Vision
O Christ, the Great Foundation
Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
