Bethany Retreat Postponed to 2021

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bethany’s Retreat Committee has reluctantly decided to postpone this annual all-church gathering until NEXT August. The health and safety of everyone must come first, and there are just too many health risks at this point and time. However, we are all very excited about the theme of the retreat and the planning already accomplished, which will be used next year. Bethany’s Parish Associate Rev. Judy Davis will again lead the retreat, exploring how spirituality and creativity are closely intertwined as we meet “Isaiah at the Babylonian Coffee Shop.” We will look at how the prophet Isaiah, who wrote during the time of the Jewish exile in Babylon, and created his beautiful poetry by listening to God’s voice and the voices of the people around him. We will explore how that same Spirit can inspire our own creativity and draw us closer to God. The weekend of August 13-15, 2021 has been requested at the same beautiful setting at the water’s edge of Lake Tahoe. Mark your calendar and plan to meet “Isaiah at the Babylonian Coffee Shop” at Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center.
