The film “Wicked” is the next movie being viewed by Bethany friends and family. We’ll gather Wednesday, June 4, to see this film based on the acclaimed Broadway musical. The movie is a prequel to the 1939 classic “Wizard of Oz,” re-imagining the story of how the “Wicked Witch of the West” came to earn her reputation.
Meet at 2:45 p.m. in the lobby of the Century Cinemark Theater at 1590 Ethan Way (near Cal Expo). Click here for the location. The film starts 3 pm.
Tickets are $7 each. You can pay inside. We’ll gather afterward for (optional) dinner. No need to RSVP, just show up! All are welcome … bring a friend.
From the producers: “Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Emmy, Grammy- and Tony- winning and Oscar®-nominated powerhouse Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman misunderstood because of her green skin who has yet to discover her true power, and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman gilded by privilege who has yet to discover her true heart.”
