On Tuesday, October 28, Bethany family and friends are invited to see the new World War II drama inspired by the true story of Helmuth Hübener (Ewan Horrocks), a 16-year-old who became the youngest person executed for treason in Nazi Germany. The film—Truth and Treason—is getting rave reviews across the U.S. The movie shows how a teenage boy is forced to confront a terrible truth: that loyalty to his country now means loyalty to a lie.
The movie starts at 10:45 a.m. at the Cinemark Century Laguna Theater, 9349 Big Horn Blvd., Elk Grove. Click here for the location. Meet in the lobby at 10:15 a.m. Tickets are $7 inside the lobby.
Anyone and everyone can participate in movie outings, which take place 3-4 times a month.
“Truth & Treason stands out as a moving tribute to the power of resistance and the extraordinary bravery of ordinary people who risked their lives for their beliefs.”
