Observe Earth Day by getting back to nature at a hosted Meditation Walk Thursday, April 22, starting 10 a.m. at William Land Park.
We will adhere to all of the “socially distanced” practices we observed during our Sunday morning live worship service to ensure the safety of participants.
Click here for directions to the amphitheater, where we will meet (behind Fairy Tale Town, off Land Park Drive; the nearest cross street is 15th Avenue).
We will start with a brief devotional time with Rev. Jesse Larson, then we will split up and each walk our own ways through the paths of the nearby historical WPA rock garden. The one-acre garden features an amazing array of native and non-native plants, shrubs and trees. It is a lovely haven, a place for contemplation or quiet conversation with those in your own “family pod.”
Please wear your mask, even if you have received your COVID-19 vaccination. We’ll expect to keep apart from one another unless we are in family groups. Bring water and wear a hat plus sunscreen. Those wishing to may choose to bring a sack lunch and socialize “safely distanced” in the amphitheater after the walk.
Note: Unfortunately, the uneven paths are not suitable for wheelchairs or walkers. If you have mobility issues, an alternative route is the flat paved walkway around the pond.
