All Saints Day has become a tradition at Bethany as we remember and celebrate the lives of those who have gone before.
YOU ARE INVITED to submit names of loved ones who have passed away since October 2020. Those names will be read during the worship service Sunday, November 7, starting 10:30 a.m. If you can’t attend in person, you may view via Facebook Live. Names should be received in the church office by 12 noon on Wednesday, Nov. 3.
Here is a form you can use to send in names. You can also provide names via phone to Maria in the church office at (916) 428-5281.
On November 7, ALL are welcome to bring photos or mementos of late relatives and friends (whether they passed away years ago or recently) for display on special "memorial tables" in the Social Hall after church.
There will also be an online photo gallery showing photos of departed loved ones. Send photos to us and we will post them. DIRECTIONS: E-mail photos or text them to (916) 832-3373 and we will display them in the All Saints Gallery 2021. If you are concerned about privacy, you needn’t include full names—initials will suffice.
PET. LOVERS! There will be space on the special “St. Francis” table for you to display photos, art, memorabilia (collars, tags, favorite chewed up toys, etc.) belonging to your dearly departed pets. No need to RSVP; just show up and place them on the table at 11:30 a.m. We’ll all enjoy sharing memories of our former dogs, cats and other pets. Items will be ready for you to take home about 12:15 p.m.
AT ANOTHER TABLE in the Social Hall, you will be able to create a peace and remembrance lantern bowl in memory of those we honor and love. We will be folding origami cranes together to place inside your bowl. All materials will be provided. Rev. Janice Kamikawa is organizing this special project.
