Jesus died for our sins, lives in our hearts and so we’re going to heaven someday. Well, yes. And hallelujah! But that’s pretty much the sum of the gospel for too many Christian church-goers (and non-goers). Isn’t there so much more, though? Heck, yeah. As we approach Easter, let’s take a closer look together.
“The Gospel in the gospels”
For seven Wednesdays in Lent, we will have a light bite to eat and some conversation together with Pastor Bill and Kathy McGuinness about the fullness of the gospel—including taking a closer look at what these things called “death” and “heaven” actually are.
On the first evening March 6 (Ash Wednesday), we will gather at 6 o’clock with a brief service of scripture, song and the application of ashes. A light supper will follow. The series continues every Wednesday 6-7 p.m. leading up to Easter. No need to RSVP and all are welcome, regardless of faith tradition.
