Easter Sunday at Bethany was celebrated with a rousing worship service, which included an “Easter Egg Scramble” for the children during the first hymn. Pastor Jesse Larson’s message reminded everyone about the promise of new life that Christ’s resurrection assures us all.
A vocal ensemble, accompanied by Sherry McHurd Hanson on the viola and Natalya Guerrero on the piano, presented the anthem Victory in Jesus. Ensemble members included Wendy Aiello, Nga Cha, Kathy Frank, Barbara Greene, Susan Just, Candace Keefauver, KC Shane and Jackie Sneed. Barbara Greene sang the choral introit. The children’s moment was delivered by Jim Guida, who surprised the kids with a huge inflatable Easter egg—symbolizing the immense love Jesus has for them.
An informal Easter brunch was served following the service, thanks to Bethany’s Fellowship Commission volunteers.
