Blessing of the Pets • October 22, 2023

Close to a dozen dogs (plus two cats and a mule, via photo) each received a special blessing at Bethany’s annual “Blessing of the Pets” event held Sunday, October 22, at 4 p.m. Originally intended for outdoors, the festivities moved into the Social Hall due to rain. Rev. Jesse Larson blessed each pet individually and every pet-owner was given a St. Francis “bless my pet” medal as a keepsake. Refreshments for both humans and pets were served. And thanks to Alex Medina, we even had our own “pet puddle clean up” service!
