Jim Guida, a ruling elder of Bethany, led today’s service, which marked the fourth Sunday in Advent.
Tom Uhrhammer served as liturgist. Members of the Bertsch-Guida family lit the Advent candles, to which today’s traditional candle—the Candle of Love—was added. Scripture readings included Isaiah 6: 1-3, Luke 2: 8-14 and Matthew 1: 18-25. Jim’s message was entitled “Christmas Chaos” and featured a crazy (and overwhelming) montage of Christmas movie clips.
