Rev. Jesse Larson led today’s service, which celebrated Palm Sunday—Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem more than 2,000 years ago. The service focused on how Jesus invites us to think of power in new ways—not domination but rather in love, humility and grace. Today’s scripture reading was Luke 19:29-44.
Communion was served and donations of canned and packaged goods for the SSIP Food Closet were collected.
Vocalist Jackie Sneed presented the anthem and the women’s ensemble, led by Barbara Greene, sang There Is a Redeemer. Cathy Sapunor presented the children’s moment.
Pianist Natalya Guerrero presented several musical arrangements and accompanied the singing of hymns:
