In today’s (very windy!) outdoor worship service, Rev. Jesse Larson reads Acts 8:26-40, which tells the story of the Ethiopian Christian who longed to know more about Jesus. This story, Jesse says, reminds us of just how many peoples and cultures and nations have shaped the story of our faith going back thousands of years. Christianity, indeed, has its roots in the Middle East and Africa. “This Sunday, and every day,” concludes Jesse, “we celebrate that the joy of the Gospel is sharing love with all of God’s grand creation.”
Music Director Dr. May Tuan Tucker presents several classical pieces as well as accompanying two sing-along hymns: “I Come With Joy, A Child of God” and O For a World.”
As you are watching at home, please feel free too help yourself to bread and a beverage so you can partake of communion during the service.
