Rev. Jesse Larson reads from the bible Mark 12: 41-44—the story of the widow’s offering (also known as the “widow’s mite”), which Jesus told to emphasize that small deeds can be important. Relates Jesse, when we “put love and trust and faith into our acts—no matter the size—they are blessed by God and send out far-reaching ripples into the world.” Jesus reminds us that small actions matter just as much as the big ones. Pianist Natalya Amelchenko plays several sacred tunes, including the much-beloved It Is Well With My Soul.
