Bethany will field a team of eight volunteers at the annual fall “Sprucing Up in the Pines” work weekend at Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center (South Lake Tahoe) October 13-15.
On hand to make improvements to Zephyr Point will be Brian and Delynn Powell, David and Linda Betts, Scott Jackson, Bryce Little III, Cathy Betts Sapunor and Sherilyn Heartman Knoll.
Among their projects will be prepping the Crawford Memorial lookout deck, a beloved fixture at the conference center.
The Crawford Memorial was built by Bethany youth and parents in 1980 in honor of Joe and John Crawford, two youth group members who, along with their father, lost their lives in a car accident. Click here for more information about the Crawford Memorial. Brian, David, Scott and Bryce were among the original Bethany youth group that constructed the memorial.
