Crawford Memorial at Zephyr Point Gets Some T.L.C. from Bethany Volunteers

A team of six volunteers—alumni of Bethany’s youth group from the 1970s—spent the weekend of May 20-22 working to improve a special place at Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center (South Lake Tahoe).

On hand to make improvements to the Crawford Memorial lookout deck were Brian and Delynn Powell, David and Linda Betts, Scott Jackson and Bryce Little III.

In addition to helping with other projects, they sanded and re-stained the deck, a beloved fixture of the conference center. The Crawford Memorial was built by Bethany youth and parents in 1980 in honor of Joe and John Crawford, two youth group members who, along with their father, lost their lives in a car accident.
