Rev. Jesse Larson led today’s service, which marked Epiphany—when the three kings reached the newborn Jesus after traveling many months and miles. Bethany’s own three kings—portrayed by Saul Rivera, Manh Ong and Alex Medina—arrived with gifts for the congregation. The scripture reading was Matthew 2:1-12, telling of the wise men’s visit.
Sylvia Alamillo and Nga Chau presented the anthem, accompanied by Natalya Guerrero on the piano and Manh Ong on the guitar.
Communion was served and a collection of non-perishable goods for the SSIP Food Closet was taken.
Hymns included:
Hark, the Herald Angels Sing
We Three Kings of Orient Are
What Star is This, With Beams So Bright
The Snow Lay on the Ground
