Rev. Jesse Larson led today’s service—the first of the year 2023—focusing on new beginnings. The scripture passage, read by Mary Harbison, was Colossians 3:12-17.
Communion was served and donations of canned and packaged goods for the SSIP Food Closet were collected.
Rev. Larson distributed colorful paper stars to the congregation. Each star contained a different word for the recipient to think and pray about in the months ahead. Those unable to attend the service—please let us know and we will mail a star to you.
Pianist Natalya Amelchenko Guerrero presented several musical arrangements and accompanied the singing of hymns. Cathy Sapunor assisted on the piano. Hymns included:
