Bethany’s September 25 was observed as “Affirming Sunday,” a time take to celebrate the gifts that all humans are endowed with by our creator. Of special attention was giving thanks for the lights shined by LGBTQ+ folks. The scripture reading was Matthew 22:34-40—the greatest commandment. The service was led by Rev. Jesse Larson, with Candace Keefauver, KC Shane and Tom Uhrhammer serving as readers. Special music was provided by KC Shane. Pianist Natalya Amelchenko presented several musical arrangements and accompanied the congregation in the singing of hymns:
