Sunday Service - June 21, 2020

Rev. Jesse Larson extends Father's Day greetings and reads aloud from the Bible about "gifts from God" in 1 Corinthians 12: 4-13.

In his message he talks about a personality test in which our various human traits are described in terms of colors: blue, yellow, green and orange. He says, "The more we understand about one another, the more we value one another's gifts and perspectives." Jesus and the Apostle Paul—who made a practice of loving everyone regardless of background—urged people to reorient themselves toward the spirit of love and grace.

You will see on display a striking painting by Rev. Jesse's friend Ivy, who created it as a visual representation of diversity.

Pianist Natalya enriches the service with her renditions of several hymns. Here is a partial listing:

  • I Have Decided to Follow Jesus

  • His Eye Is On the Sparrow

  • Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

  • Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty

  • This Is My Father's World

Here is the personality test to print out and score at home.
