Bethany’s 2024 Friends & Family Retreat took place last weekend (August 9-11) at scenic Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center, located on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe. The theme of the retreat, which was led by Rev. Judy Davis, was “Tending Our Spiritual Gardens.”
Joining Rev. Judy in leading retreat sessions were Trisha Uhrhammer, Joy and Peter Baird, and Cathy Sapunor. On Saturday evening, everyone gathered at the Donaldson Amphitheatre for a sunset vespers service, at which several retreat attendees presented inspirational poems, quotes and biblical passages. Vickie Owens presented a lovely and moving liturgical dance set against the setting sun. Peter Baird led music and singing throughout the weekend.
