More than 600 local children and parents showed up at Bethany the afternoon of Sunday, October 29, for Halloween festivities including “Trunk or Treat” (trick or treating) at a dozen decorated cars in the parking lot. A jump house, Dia de los Muertos crafts by Ingrid Garcia. and music by drummer Ben Ofori occupied the kids … along with free ice cream and free books. Elders Cathy Sapunor and Jackie Sneed organized the event, assisted by Bethany and SSIP Food Closet volunteers.
