A team of eight Bethany members and friends worked at the SSIP Food Closet on April 11. The volunteer morning—planned as a Holy Week event—introduced participants to various jobs at the Food Closet, which is located at the church. Tasks included sorting and packaging canned/packaged foods, packaging perishables (including produce and USDA commodity foods) and helping carry items to recipients’ cars.
