Amidst yips and yaps and howls, about a dozen pets—including a mule and cats (via photo)—were blessed at Bethany’s “Blessing of the Pets” event Sunday afternoon, October 22. Rev. Jesse Larson asked pet parents to introduce their animals and each pet received a personal blessing. Every family took home a keepsake “bless my pet” medal commemorating St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. Many thanks to Alex Medina for serving as clean-up person!
