Join Bethany in supporting the SSIP Food Closet, which is housed at the church. We’re hosting another volunteer morning Monday, April 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. Participants (over age 18, please) must be current on their COVID vaccinations and boosters. Wear comfortable closed-toed shoes and your mask. Plastic gloves will be provided. Please arrive by 8:20 a.m. at the church Social Hall (next to the south parking lot).
Because there are only five adult volunteer positions available, please contact Cathy Sapunor or the church office if you would like to be part of this important community service!
NOTE: students under age 18 may assist this day in behind-the-scenes ways if accompanied by parent or guardian. Please let Cathy Sapunor know if you and your child or grandchild would like to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to be of service in the community. Tasks will include sorting canned and packaged goods and other simple activities.
Ordinarily, Bethany serves on every “fifth Monday.” Because the nezt scheduled fifth Monday is the Memorial Day holiday, we will instead have our volunteer day on April 3—which is during Holy Week. Holy Week is a special, sacred time in the life of the church — and an ideal time for us to follow in Jesus’s footsteps by serving others. If you are unable to volunteer, please keep this work team in your prayers on April 3.
