Bethany is launching its series of Sunday morning worship services through “Zoom” starting May 10 at 11 a.m.
This live, interactive service will enable more to help lead in worship and share their gifts. It's a unique way of seeing one another—even though we still are unable to worship together in person. Says Rev. Jesse Larson, “It will be an experiment—surely there may be a few hiccups—but hey, we've already all become so much more technologically proficient than we were two months ago, so let's go for it! Grace abounds!”
If you have not yet participated in a Zoom gathering, visit the Zoom website on your smart phone or computer. You DO NOT need to sign up for an account, but you do need to download the Zoom interface ahead of time so that you can use your device's microphone and camera. Be sure to make sure that your computer, tablet, or phone are all set to use sound, video, and mic. Pick a peaceful setting in your home or yard to sit and enjoy the service. Be “in the moment,” because this service is not recorded.
Join us for this new experiment; We think it will be a lot of fun, and as always, our souls will be shored up to see one another and send one another the hope of our faith!
The Zoom service is an “add-on” to the existing Facebook livecast held Sunday mornings. Logging onto Bethany’s Facebook page around 10:20 a.m. will treat you to beautiful pre-service music by pianist Natalya Amelchenko, followed by scripture and a brief reflection by Rev. Jesse Larson. If you miss seeing the Facebook livecast, you can view it later in the day on the Multi-Media page of the website.
