Interested about learning more of the refugee crisis in our world and what you can do about it? Bethany has heard the call of the most vulnerable and has committed to support refugees settling in the Sacramento area by joining hands with World Relief, a well-established non-profit organization in Sacramento, dedicated to empowering local churches to serve refugees.
Bethany is actively helping families settle in Sacramento by reaching out in friendship and God’s love. Currently, many of the families arriving are from Afghanistan under the Special Immigrant Visa Program. At least one person in each family has worked for the U.S. Armed Forces, and as a result has experienced serious threats to the family’s safety. Bethany has committed to walk alongside a newly arrived refugee family for a six-month period. Our goal is to offer each refugee in the family a warm welcome, support and friendship as they settle into our community.
Whether you want to simply understand more of the world refugee situation today, or would like to actively volunteer, donating needed supplies, driving family members to appointments or visiting the family from time to time, Bethany relies on your support!
