Créches on Display • December 19, 2021 • Fourth Sunday in Advent

Bethany members and friends were invited to bring their créches—nativity scenes—from home to display during the December 19 worship service. Three of the créches had been treasured by families for more than 50 years. One of the créches was hand-crafted during a Bethany Sunday school event close to three decades ago. Some originated from other countries: Mexico, Honduras, Israel, Germany, China and El Salvador (to name a few). Finally—towering above all the créches—was an angel with trumpet, heralding the birth of the newborn king.
